Remapping Disclaimer
Thompson Automotive want to ensure the best possible results for our customers, remapping services should not, and will not be carried out on a vehicle which is deemed to be faulty or in poor condition.  Prior to confirming an appointment, clients will be verbally asked if their vehicle is in good condition and up to date with servicing/maintenance schedules to receive remapping services.
Thompson Automotive will carry out a visual inspection of the vehicle upon arrival but please note, this is the extent of our liability for the client's vehicle.  If Thompson Automotive feel the vehicle is not in the optimum condition for remapping services, we reserve the right to decline to carry out such work.

Upon completion of the remapping, the customer will be asked to test drive their vehicle, and to confirm they are happy with the service.  At this point it is expected payment to be made for the services carried out.

Remap services are strictly software changes to your vehicle, no physical components will be upgraded or changed.  Remapping consists of changes in parameters within the vehicle's ECU.  Once these changes have taken place, customers need to be aware that the vehicle is now working harder than previously, and any unknown pre-existing conditions may be vulnerable and prone to failing more quickly than they may have before remapping.  Thompson Automotive will not accept any liability or responsibility for any mechanical part failing previously, during or following remapping services. By using our service, you agree to these terms and conditions.  Regular servicing with good oil & parts, good quality fuel all help keep your engine running well.  If your car needs mechanical attention, get this work done before considering a remap.

Thompson Automotive do not cover the liability for any mechanical or electrical parts including the following parts: turbos, injectors, clutches, gearboxes, DPF, boost leaks (boost pipes) as these have a serviceable lifetime and the remap places bigger demands on these parts, which may cause issues if they are not in good health. Stage 1+, Stage 2, Stage 3 remaps are beyond the recommended tolerances of your engine and we and the remap writer will not accept any liability for these remaps.

The customer accepts that the results of remapping vary depending on vehicle age and condition, make and model.

Thompson Automotive will inform the customer of any issues that arise during the remapping process.  If Thompson Automotive feel that, in their opinion, a remap to a vehicle will be detrimental, they reserve the right to abort the remap and inform the customer.

It is the customer's responsibility to inform their insurers, lease companies, warranty companies, etc of the changes made to their vehicle.  Please be aware that a vehicle's warranty may be invalidated if a remap is detected.

We work alongside external ‘remap writers’ and the liability for any mistake in the remap software lies with them and not Thompson Automotive.
